About Thomas Beetz

Cinematographer – Director of Photography – Photographer

Thomas is a Berlin-based freelance cinematographer & photographer. After completing a six months internship with renowned fashion & commercial photographer Hubertus Hamm in Munich, Germany, he studied Photography, Film and Imaging in Scotland, where he specialised in cinematography and photography. Since graduating in 2007, he has worked on various  film projects, including feature films for cinema & television, short films, image films, music videos and documentaries. He is experienced in a wide range of formats, including: 35mm, 16mm, 8mm, Red One,  Arri Alexa, HDCAM, DSLRs, HDV, MiniDV, DigiBeta and Beta SP.



Screened work includes: ‘Für Umme’ (TV-Series 2014-15), ‘Ken Follett – Journey into the Dark Ages‘ (2012), Avis bewegt Deutschland (2012), Notruf Deutschland (2011), Kasimir & Karoline (2011), Bros before Hos (2010), The Punisher (2010), Live it up (2009), There will be Fireworks (2008), Resiste – Aufstand der Praktikanten (2008); An Páiste Beo Bocht (2008); Seaside (2007); Souvenirs and Then a Summer Starts (both screened at the Edinburgh International Film Festival 2007); Channel Five’s Monster Moves (2007) and Bafta award winning film, Run Toni, Run(2006).
